چکیده
Background: Several instances of pneumonia from an unknown cause were recorded in the city Wuhan, China December 2019, and later confirmed as coronavirus illness 2019. (COVID-19). Pneumonia is inflammatory disease that impacts parenchyma lungs, resulting consolidation afflicted area filling alveolar air gaps with exudate, cells, fibrin. Acute phase reactants (APRs) are critical early detection, management, recording development. Aim study : To determine value measurement Phase Reactants Differentiation between Covid-19 Bacterial pneumonia. Patients Methods: Thirty patients another thirty included this cross-sectional research at Al-houssein University Hospital. Results: There was highly significant increased CRP COVID-19 group (68.8mg/L) versus bacterial (42.8mg/L). & D-Dimer increase (1276.7ng/ml) (643.3ng/ml) , also ferritin (521ng/ml) (254.3ng/ml) there decreased Lymphocytes (1.1/mm3) (3.9/mm3) but WBCs (22.3/mm3) (8.5/mm3) Neutrophil (18.4/mm3) (7.4/mm3). Conclusion: (CRP, D-dimer, S-ferrittin, differential) can be used differentiation

متن کاملMechanisms of the hepatic acute-phase response during bacterial pneumonia.
The acute-phase response is characterized by increased circulating levels of acute-phase proteins (APPs) generated by the liver. During bacterial pneumonia, APPs correlate with the severity of disease, serve as biomarkers, and are functionally significant. The kinetics and regulatory mechanisms of APP induction in the liver during lung infection have yet to be defined. Here we show that APP mRN...

A 68 years old man with prostate carcinoma was referred for 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT scan because of recent significant rise of PSA. He complained of muscle weakness and fatigue, since 3 weeks before the scan, without dyspnea or shortness of breath. In his 68Ga-PSMA-611 PET/CT study, widespread skeletal metastasis, as well as liver involvement were noticed. Also, multiple bilatera...
متن کاملBacterial pneumonia following acute ischemic stroke.
BACKGROUND The most common serious complication following acute ischemic stroke is pneumonia, which may increase mortality and worsen clinical outcomes. The purpose of this study was to investigate the predictors of 30-day mortality in patients with pneumonia following acute ischemic stroke. METHODS From June 2006 to May 2011, we retrospectively included 51 patients with pneumonia following a...
